Combining your passion with your burden to share the Gospel with the least of these in your community and around the world.
The Beyond Effect is inspiring students to dream of how they can use the gifts, talents, and resources God has given them to impact His Kingdom. Crossings is lifting the lid on what students can do by asking them to pair their burdens with their passions to share the Gospel with “the least of these.”
How do we plan to do this?
- By inspiring students through stories of how other students have gone beyond
- By challenging students to commit to writing out their God-given vision
- By connecting students through online community to encourage, inspire, and spur
one another on in Christian love
Missions – Over the past 13 years, Crossings has challenged students to give their money to assist in mission efforts all across the globe. Students have responded by donating over $786,000 to mission causes in the Philippines, Zambia, Trinidad, Moldova, Ukraine, India, and Haiti. These offerings have been used to impact impoverished youth all over the world.
Partnerships – Crossings Ministries partnered with Baptist Haiti Mission in 2011 to proclaim the Gospel in Haiti. Between 2012 and 2013, more than 600 students and adults have traveled to Haiti to prepare a camp so Haitians can hear the Gospel. This partnership also assists pastors with training in Haiti so they can better understand and communicate the Gospel to their congregations and communities. To help us spread the Gospel in Haiti, get on board the #GIVE20 movement.
Stories – Students inspiring students. Students can and are making a difference in the world. We want all students to see that the impossible is happening through their peers. Students will get the opportunity to hear first-hand about the fears, challenges, and victories other students faced when they committed to going beyond.
Instead of just working or giving money to support worthy causes, we envision thousands of students leaving our campus to accomplish amazing things at home and around the world for the glory of God. With an estimated 147,000,000 orphans in this world, the need has never been greater. But with God, the possibilities are beyond imagination!
