For the past 13 years, over 50,000 people have attended Crossings Camps. Why have so many decided to spend a week of their summer at Crossings? There are many reasons, but here are a few that keep popping up.
Gospel Focused
Everything that goes into a week of Crossings Camps is framed around the Gospel. Seeing students and adults cross over is at the heart of our ministry. From the way we facilitate zip lines, to the setup of our dining facilities, everything happens to provide an environment where students and adults will encounter Christ.
Devoted Summer Staff
Ask anyone who’s ever spent a week at Crossings what they valued most and they’ll probably mention our summer staff. We hire over 90 college students who teach Bible Studies, lead recreation activities, and pretty much make camp happen. And these aren’t any average college students. We spend an exhaustive amount of time identifying and pursuing students who love God, love working with students, and have a heart to serve.
The single most important role of a summer staffer is to build relationships with students. They take time to invest in the lives of the students to present the Gospel and to encourage students to live a life of faith.
You’re More Than Just a Number
While many camps are trending toward larger weeks run by fewer staff, Crossings is taking the opposite approach. Our camps will never grow past a certain point. We keep our camp weeks smaller so we can build relationships with the students and adults who partner with us. Small group Bible studies are actually small–no more than 15 students. We want to hear your stories and build relationships that will last for longer than a week.
All-Inclusive
No hidden costs. No nickles and dimes. The cost of a week of camp covers everything: food (all-you-can-eat), lodging, programming, recreation (zip lines, blobs, bazooka ball, etc.) and more.
