Crossings offers a variety of camp opportunities every summer for an experience you will never forget.

No matter the camp experience you choose, you can expect the same core elements at all of our camps. We promise that every student will hear the Gospel proclaimed, grow through robust biblical teaching, and participate in Christ-centered worship. Our prayer is that they will experience life change.

Many Camps. One Gospel.

Student camps are like none other. They are intentionally designed to help your students grow in their relationship with God through Gospel proclamation, robust biblical teaching, and Christ-centered worship. All the while, we offer high-energy activities on our beautiful Kentucky properties that your students will not soon forget.

Kids Camps are fast-paced, Christ-centered, kid-friendly camps for children entering third through sixth grade. We bring a passion for building relationships with your kids and teaching them about Jesus in a way they can understand. At the same time, we guarantee they will get messy, loud, and crazy.

Camp40 is an exciting, intense version of our longer Crossings Camps. We pack all of the the same great elements of camp into a high-energy, fast-paced, 40-hour period. From activities like climbing tower, bazooka ball, lake activities and zip lines to dynamic worship and intentional Bible study, Camp40 provides everything Crossings has to offer–all within 40 hours!

Truth in Public is a camp designed to engage older high school students on two crucial levels: thinking critically about a Christian’s role in the public square from a Christian worldview and understanding how state legislature operates. We hope this camp will call students to step up, lead, and help change the world for Christ Jesus.

If you have everything you need to do camp, or want a more tailored experience, you can host your own camp. We provide the meals, facilities, and unforgettable activities. You provide the content that’s just right for you. Call us today at 502-591-7000 to discuss options, pricing, and your schedule.

Due to the contributions of generous donors, Crossings is able to provide scholarships for students that cannot afford to come to camp. For more information and to apply, click here.

Why Should You Come to Crossings?

Gospel Intentional—Every Day of Camp

We are serious about proclaiming the Gospel in everything that we do and teach. This is why we exist as a ministry. We know that only the Good News that comes through Jesus Christ is what has the power to transform lives (Romans 1:16). No fancy programs, thrilling activities, or superb staff can get the job done. The Gospel is the power of God for salvation! Our desire is that every student that comes to our camp would believe the Gospel and seek to apply it to their everyday life. For this reason, students will hear the Gospel:

  • During the first night of worship — we want students to know why they are at camp. They are at camp in order to grow in their relationship with Jesus. This begins with the Gospel.
  • During a discussion time after every activity where our trained staff ask: “How does this activity provide a picture or illustration of the Gospel?”
  • In our morning Bible Study where our camp pastor carefully teaches and explains the Gospel in way students can understand.

Sound Biblical Teaching—Morning Bible Study

Students will gather for 45 minutes each morning at camp in large groups for an in-depth study of God’s Word. This time is led by the camp pastor who exposits the Scripture picked for camp. This time allows students to focus on God’s Word and prepares their heart for an afternoon of activities and an evening of worship. After Bible study, our staffers lead a discussion time with our students focused on helping them apply the Scriptures to their lives.

The Evening Worship Gathering

The worship service, or “worship gathering,” is the heartbeat of camp. Everything we do revolves around worshipping the Lord through song and through the preaching of the Word. During this evening gathering, we are intentional about calling students to repentance and faith in Christ, providing them with a serious study of the Word of God, and offering Christ-centered worship that we pray will help them seek the things that are above.

Points of Impact (POIs)

Our world-class activities promise a camp experience that will leave your students looking forward to every time they come to camp at Crossings. Our trained summer staffers also make sure that your students will consider eternal matters while they are having the time of their life. After every activity, our summer staffers spend five to ten minutes explaining how that activity illustrates a truth of the Gospel. The harness in the zip-line pictures the security believers in Christ; the activity in the breakout rooms demonstrates our need to have our hearts cleansed; and, bazooka ball teaches us the reality of spiritual warfare and the need to defend our faith.

Morning Celebration: Why Not Have a Little Fun, Too?

Affectionately known as “Morning Cell,” we include a high-energy time every morning that is designed to wake up students and leaders. Morning cell is different every year — but we promise to include lots of fun, live sketches, videos, announcements, games, prizes, music, and perhaps a little “youth pastor fun,” too. Morning Cell is an exciting time for the entire camp to get together and set the tone for the day.

Trained Summer Staffers Who Love Jesus

They love your students, too! Crossings’ Summer Staff is a team of more than fifty college-aged staffers that have a hand in nearly every aspect of camp. They do everything from leading small groups, running POIs, lifeguarding, working in the Shack and the kitchen, cleaning the property. Most importantly, our schedule includes plenty of time every day for them to just hang out with students-proclaiming the gospel all along the way.  We spend weeks training our staffers to proclaim the Gospel, build relationships, and to serve you and your students. Our summer staff are the face of Crossings and are essential to you and your students having a life-changing experience at camp.

Kentucky Beauty & Gospel-Focused Facilities

We are immensely blessed by the two properties God has given us in beautiful Kentucky. Cedarmore and Jonathan Creek comprise over 700 acres in some of the most beautiful surroundings that the Midwest has to offer. This beautiful outdoor environment that God has provided allows students and adults alike to experience life change in a distraction-free environment. Our properties have been built and customized for camp, ensuring that your students eat well, rest well, and play hard. All of this is paired with modern indoor facilities that allow them to hear the Gospel proclaimed, experience the robust teaching of God’s word, and worship Christ Jesus. We promise your kids will want to come back summer after summer.

Missional Mindset

While we are passionate about proclaiming the Gospel to students, we also are committed to proclaiming the Gospel to the ends of the earth. In fact, at every camp, we invite students to consider how they can obey the Great Commission. We invite students to give to missions every summer through a nightly video telling a missionary’s story. Our 2016 camps raised over $120,000 for Cuban missionaries to Ecuador and over $26,000 for Baptist Haiti Mission.

We also enjoy a strategic partnership with Baptist Haiti Mission, a ministry with over 70 years of faithful work in proclaiming the Gospel, equipping the church, and developing the community around them. We invite students and churches to go to Haiti on our spring and summer missions trips to see firsthand what God is doing at Baptist Haiti Mission.

Short-term teams are given a multitude of ways to make a critical kingdom investment: helping the local church with evangelistic outreaches, vacation Bible schools, student camps, community development, and much more.

Local Church Partnership

The church is the bride of Christ, the pillar and buttress of the truth, and the one to whom God has given the task of equipping the saints. Our task is to support, encourage, come alongside, and partner with the church.

While students are at camp, we make sure that our church leaders are aware and involved in what is happening in every student’s life. We do this in a number of ways:

  • Church Checkpoint—we schedule a time every day for our group leaders to connect with their students. This allows group leaders to invest in relationships, care, shepherd, and follow-up with what is happening in each student’s life.
  • Designated Areas for Adults—Each property offers stunning cafes with high-top tables, couches, coffee, water, and wireless internet. We want adults to have an opportunity to fellowship together, rest, and enjoy some quiet.
  • Group-Based Model on Property—Our student and kids camps only allow students to come to camp with a group. While we do not want to turn any student away, we believe it is essential for these students to be connected to a local church. After all, it is the local church that God has tasked with equipping the saints and making disciples.
  • We send follow-up letters to pastors after camp. We want to encourage and remind churches that it is their responsibility to disciple, equip, and encourage students after camp.

Our commitment to the church extends to our beautiful properties. We keep them open and available year round so that churches can host getaways, retreats, staff meetings, and whatever else they may need. We also provide training weekends, offer a staff of trained and experienced regional consultants, and produce resources. All of this is done in an effort support, encourage, equip, and partner with the local church. We are thankful for the support of the Kentucky Baptist Convention Cooperative Program, which helps make all of this possible.

Child Protection Policy: Safe Staff, Chaperones, and Campuses

We have in our care the stewardship of the next generation. For this reason, we have put in place measures and policies to protect the minors that come to our properties. We do this in the following ways:

  • We require all adult chaperones and staff who attend camp or come to property to have completed a background check.
  • All visitors must complete a background check to enter our property and participate in camp.
  • Gated entrances along with trained security personnel and measures ensure your students are as safe as they are at home.
  • Our 50+ staffers on each property guarantees your students have someone with them or nearby at all times.
  • Our group-based model at our properties ensures all groups bring enough adults to provide adequate supervision, care, and discipleship.
